MetalPrints™ represent a new art medium for preserving photos by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, your images will take on an almost magical luminescence. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily - just avoid direct sunlight.
We offer a variety of contemporary ways to hang and display your MetalPrints.
Our Float Mount Hangers are attached to the back of the print, and float the print 1/2-inch off the wall when hung. Styles and selection vary based on the size of the print ordered.
3/4" Inset Frames are a great alternative to our Float Mount Hangers. Inset Frames are recessed from the edges of the print, so the print appears to float away from the wall when hung. Available in silver, with your choice of a French Cleat or Wire Hanger.
Standoff Posts float the print 1" out from the wall when hung for a modern display with added dimension. Choose from Stainless Steel Standoff Posts in 5/8" and 1" sizes. Posts come in a set of four pieces, one for each corner*. Optional 1/4" or 1/2" Acrylic can also be secured with the Posts to the face of the MetalPrint. (* Note: 48x96, 43x96, 40x90, 40x80, 40x70, and 30x90 sizes will come with 6 posts.)
MetalPrints are mounted on 2mm black Styrene and finished with a black Metal Inset Frame. Designed to look great while adding durability to prints that will be handled or transported frequently.
These Metal Frames are 1-1/4" deep (1-5/16" including the MetalPrint). Inset Frames float the MetalPrint off the wall for a light modern look, while Flush Mount Frames lend a substantial feel to the display. Available in assorted colors.
These quality wood mouldings are mounted with a 1/4" space between the frame and print for an elegant float effect. Available with your choice of a Slim or Wedge profile in your choice of 8 finishes to complement your images.
Each moulding is carefully inspected to meet the gallery quality you expect from Bay Photo. Choose from modern, rustic, and gallery-style mouldings in natural solid wood with a rich finish and grain, as well as aged reclaimed barnwood and sleek metal styles. You're sure to find the perfect style to suit your image and decor.
MetalPrints can be mounted on a sustainably harvested solid Bamboo panel, or a thick lightweight 3/4" or 1-1/2" backing available with Black, White, Brushed Stainless, or Maple finished edges.
Mounts on the back for either horizontal or vertical display. Available for sizes 4x4" to 12x12".
Offered in 4 lengths, with a 1/4" deep groove to fit a MetalPrint. Choose from 3 edge options: Rounded, Cavetto (concave), and Square.

MetalPrints can be custom made in any size between 4x4 and 48x96.
MetalPrints™ panels are coated using state-of-the-art coating machines. But the coating sometimes contains small imperfections such as small craters or bumps. We inspect each sheet very carefully and if there are imperfections we place them in the most unobtrusive parts of the image. We cannot remake MetalPrints due to these imperfections unless they are located in a very prominent part of the image. MetalPrints are weatherproof and moisture proof, but they will fade like a normal photograph, so please avoid direct sunlight.
